Need a great way to keep nature on the calendar? Grab the kids and make it a monthly date to volunteer at a community garden!
This is a great way to interact with nature because not only are you teaching your children about vital life cycles, but you'll get to have fun together, digging in the dirt.
Make it more fun by asking your kids:
- Who can be the day's champion worm counter?
- Can you ID insects in the garden?
- Which birds do you observe using the garden? Do they change?
- What plants help attract pollinators?
